Embodied Devotion – Jivamukti Immersion in English

3. – 5. August 2018, Teacher: Rima Rabbath, Moritz Ulrich

Embodied Devotion – Jivamukti Yoga Immersion with Rima Rabbath and Moritz Ulrich

Devotion, Bhakti, is one of the five tenets of the Jivamukti Yoga method. It actually means devotion to God. What is God? This weekend, we invite you to explore the idea of God in an open space, free of judgement and assumptions. In the yogic scriptures the idea of God is one of a cosmic, universal, ever-present something that could have a name and a form. Specifically a name and a form of your own choice. The practice of devotion is a practice of humility. To be humble means to let go of selfish tendencies that prevent us from experiencing true and lasting happiness. Happiness that is no longer dependent on outer circumstances but is filled with, joy, love and ecstasy.

Devotion can be found in many different yogic practices, that we will all explore during these 3 days. Devoting your mind in meditation, your heart while chanting, your body when practicing asana and your intellect while learning about the different approaches to the higher Self, found in the yogic scriptures, such as Patanjali´s Yoga Sutra or the Bhagavad Gita.

Rima is teaching in NYC and is a long-time facilitator of the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Moritz is the co-founder of the Jivamukti Yoga School – Peace Yoga Berlin, Medical Doctor, anatomy teacher and co-facilitator at Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Trainings.
